Afternoon: Pass beneath the Heim and Kersten glaciers and head towards the Karanga Valley. Enjoy a steep climb from the valley to Karanga Camp, situated at 3963m. For those feeling strong, an acclimatization trek to around 4200m can be undertaken before descending back to camp for the night.

Reaching Barafu Camp
Morning: After a restful night and breakfast, embark on a challenging trek to Barafu Camp at 4640m. The climb will take you across desolate scree slopes with no vegetation. The steep terrain and altitude will make the hike demanding.
Afternoon: Upon reaching Barafu Camp, enjoy a meal and spend the afternoon resting in preparation for the long night and day ahead. Stay hydrated and warm. An early dinner will be followed by an attempt to get some sleep, as you will be waking up between 11pm and 12pm to begin the summit climb.

Summiting Kilimanjaro
Morning: Embark on a challenging ascent to the summit, beginning around midnight. Hike steeply upwards through scree for 4-5 hours, gaining significant elevation. Enjoy spectacular views as you approach the crater rim.
Afternoon: Reach Stella Point (5739m) as the first rays of the sun illuminate the landscape. Take in the breathtaking views of the ice cliffs within the crater, jagged Mawenzi peak, and beyond. Continue for another hour to Uhuru Peak (5895m), the summit of Kilimanjaro.
Evening: Descend back to Stella Point and then down the scree slope to Barafu Camp for breakfast. Continue your descent to Millennium Camp for a well-deserved rest.
